Pros

The company offers an unparalleled experience in large scale operation. The cost of living in Bentonville AR is also mind-bogglingly low.

Cons

The management is unconcerned about employee welfare and long term growth. Immediate results are needed. Anything requiring time and money is immediately shot down as being infeasible by either your management or your team members who are content. Intra-office warfare is quite common. Its to the point where some departments are chartered to provide services to the company as a whole, but offer it at such a high price that it is cheaper and easier to implement your own duplicate system. And management is OK with that. There are far too many inter-office feuds in the ISD area. Some managers hate other managers and will throw every imaginable road block in the way. Innovation is a long standing joke. The management demands innovation, but is unwilling to have sufficient test environments or do anything to jeopardize the availability numbers. It basically leads to a point where innovation is demanded but crushed due to lack of resources for testing or too high risk to even attempt to test.
