Pros

Very attractive base salary and bonus structure (up to 125% of your base) along with solid benefits. Job security, as it relates to the current economy, is strong and upward mobility is possible if you are dedicated and do not mind working 70 plus hours a week.

Cons

Work/life balance can be a challenge due to long hours and somtimes difficult working conditions. Expectations are demanding and you will not last if you do not produce consistent results.

Pros

Making $7.60 & in 3 years going up to $8.00, $6.88+ after taxes. This lets me get money from the state It is better than eating ramen for an month! Yes I did.

Cons

Many workers got fired attendance reasons. Missing 7 days out of 6 months 182 days. Walmart also does not accept work releases, you missed the day it counts against you! Or productivity issues for not doing their standard of one 2500 lbs pallet in 45 minutes when it takes you 10 or 15 to pull out the pallet out from the back with a bad jack! Walmart does not give vacation time, only if you are in a union!

Pros

Very diverse company.very welcoming to people with disabilities/handicaps.The environment is very fun, upbeat, inviting. If you are a person that loves to always have something to do, something going on,you will love Wal-Mart.

Cons

The downsides are definitely, the pay, the treatment(how employees are treated) and the hours. Starting out, cashiers earn a little over minimum wage. Which was a big shock to me,because I always thought that pay would be based on experience. Also, they could afford to treat employees with a little more respect and dignity.
