Pros

Opportunity for advancement in the hourly associate levels, great team building skills, most stores build a family among the associates and management. Overall a pretty friendly place to work.

Cons

There is one major downfall and that's really it. That would be that Walmart now brings in a lot of Assistant managers and Co managers in straight from College instead of giving the opportunity to existing associates.

Pros

Good benefits, They will probably will be around for a long time, the people are great to work with and if you have the right personality you can move up. Good pay for retail.

Cons

Very long hours (7:30 am to 9 or 10 pm). Management is not treated with any repect for the individual. Very, very stressful. They do not look at the good you do, but just what you do wrong in order to correct. I don't think it is what Sam had in mind.
