Pros

30 hours a week, starting out and continuing after the holidays. Also everyone needs something from Walmart and so job security is good. Unlike most jobs I've had where I had to deal with "the public" I haven't been blamed for the inevitable customer tantrums. Also most of the store management moved up through the ranks so potential for advancement is good.

Cons

"Flexible" schedule is rather unpredictable and this makes planning personal and other business hard. Time off requests not always honored even on days when there's no likelihood of an unusual level of business.
