Pros

The only reason I can think of to work at Wal-Mart is to earn a paycheck. If a person can make it into management, then there is compensation. Other than that, there aren't any "best" reasons.

Cons

The company says it cares about its employees, but it doesn't. Sam Walton's ideas are not encouraged. He was a brilliant man, and it's a shame that his ideas are not supported.

Pros

If you are in between jobs, and can not receive unemployment Wal Mart is an option. Or as a supplemental income, part time work for a little extra cash.

Cons

The management makes up its own policies, many of which contradict other managers and even official guidelines. Also the hardest workers rarely get noticed or rewarded, it is who they seem to click with that matters for promotions which... only offer a 50 cent raise most of the time.

Pros

I wanted a job as a career, this definitely was not it. I have a university degree and did not like anything about this job

Cons

Everything about this job was a con. Even the employees were highschool kids. I was waaay out of place working here
