Pros

i dnt have any best reasons to work for Wal-Mart

Cons

the way ur treated- walmart doesnt care about the associates just trying to make their customers happy how you are treated by management- management has a clear difining line of where you should stand and where they are: I was told not to interact with the associates that much because i was part of management. They don't have conversations with the associates unless its about work. how flexible they are when people have family matters- one of the managers had issues with her new born baby and they wouldnt let her leave her shift to go take care of what she needed to do they like to over work you and under pay u

Pros

The best thing working for Wal-Mart is you really don’t have to worry about losing your job, mainly since pay is so low. Also the break room is nicer than my current employer's, especially since they give out free bottled water. The computer software in the pharmacy is decent when compared to other employers; most people are nice (non-management).

Cons

Where do I start, management is runed by dee dee dee these people well intentionally under staff you in the pharmacy just to save time and money, additionally they promise “management” to all employees who work hard, which I guess is an inside joke you won’t get fully till you work there. Not to mention they always ask you at the last minute to come to work. They also fire senior tech's who's wages have gotten to high around $20hr, or seriously kill your hours to 29 if your full time. Also you never get off on time, you always have to at least work 25 to 45 minutes afterwards, especially if you are working the evening shift since you are under-staffed and are required to service the customers who get to the pharmacy before it closes. ALSO YOU CAN NOT TAKE BREAKS AT ALL FOR ANY REASON, which last I check was against Texas state law, my pharmacy manager would laugh if you asked and say get back to work. Also Wal-Mart well does anything to keep cost down just keep this in mind if you work for them (ie wages, unions, healthcare,ect.).

Pros

Not too many. For me convenience. The people are fairly nice at the store I work at. Manager is easy to deal with and the personnel manager was one of the most professional employee I met.

Cons

The pay is low, like their prices.Picked up the job just for some extra cash. With many years experience in receiving, I thought the compensation would be reasonable. They informed me the best they could give me at that point was $7.90 an hour. With the first raise based on review not for a year. Most benefits do not start until after one year, which compared to my full time job is excessive.
