Pros
Comp packages are strong. Pay is very competitive, and most of the employees are fantastic individuals who care deeply about their coworkers and their work. I'm thankful for the friendships built there, and the colleagues that helped me grow to new heights.
Cons
The acquisition of Warner Media and the incurred debts have caused senior leadership to have too many #1 priorities and not enough patience with the already overworked staff trying to actually DO the work put in front of them. It's easy to sit in an ivory tower and "make the hard decisions" and "take all the risks" while laying off thousands of people under the media radar. Expect to work hard and carry a high level of stress. The behavior of much of the senior leadership in the organization shows that fiefdoms and politics are still the way the organization is run. Unbeknownst to the general public, WBD has laid off thousands of employees since the merger began, putting many of its hard-working employees' livelihoods and their families' benefits out to pasture while continuing to promote and provide comp increases to much of the senior management that survive the RIFs. Getting rewarded for putting people out on the street on unemployment or worse is terrible. Benefits continue to get cut and the care for employees has gone from meaningful to a facade. It's corporate America at its finest.
