Pros
Beautiful campus and great benefits. Pay is alright, better for faculty than staff. Close to river and Centennial Trail. Met and worked with some smart and committed individuals.
Cons
Archaic hierarchical system of management. It was a great job at first but a new Dean was allowed to come in and make everyone's life a living hell. No checks or balances and staff is not valued. They tend to hire people based on higher ed experience rather than actual experience for the position. Because many staff jobs are state jobs pay is set and incompetence is rampant. Would not recommend if you are an ambitious person wanting to grow in your profession. They do not operate in the real world. The amount of tax payer money wasted on pointless bureaucratic procedures is mind blowing.
