      Railroad and train handling experience plus refinery operations experience

      We are contractors at a local refinery

      Pros

      Get paid for 40 hours minimum no matter what. Lots of "free time"

      Cons

      On call 24/7 and have to be within 2 hours of getting to job site. No real set days off. Even if there is no work planned for the day you still need to be within 2 hours of getting there just in case. Minimal staffing no extra in case someone is ill or on vacation. If you need a day off you have to use vacation.
