Thank you for your feedback. We are glad to hear you enjoyed learning new things. Working at the Columbia site is an exciting opportunity to take on new technical challenges and grow your skillset as the facility transforms. Our pay rates are determined by using local market data and a review of each team members background and skillsets. Each year we do a comprehensive review of team members salaries and provide market adjustments and salary increases as required. We do our best to stay competitive and we appreciate your feedback. We would ask you to engage in a coaching forward discussion with your team leader who can assist you in finding opportunities to grow your skillset. Again, thank you for your feedback!

Pros

Watlow is a privately held company that wants to do the right thing for the team members by engaging them in various aspects of the business and their role. If you want more, you can find it here if you work hard on yourself and your skillset. This looks different in the support areas than in production, but I know many people who have moved out of Production to other areas in the business with success. It is a company that is working to swing the culture pendulum from direct, command and control management to a leadership style that is engaging and more focused on the team member's growth and connecting that with the business. This is difficult to do but they are working it. If you are looking for a position where you come in, get told what to do and then go home, this might not be the place for you. They want team members who want to think through improvements, not just go through the motions of a job.

Cons

The business can seem chaotic at times due to the business changes that are constant- they are a growing company, so while it is exciting, it can also be draining.
