Pros

Great company culture Superb location in Boston's Back Bay Opportunity to meet great, smart people Flexible start-up culture and feel

Cons

The pay is embarrassing - Since the majority of employees are right out of college, they can get away with it Work-life balance may be difficult to maintain Lack of transparency from higher management Majority of internal movement is lateral - It pays to be an external hire

Pros

The people are what makes Wayfair great, i've never worked with so many upbeat nice people. The company is always trying to have fun with different events and giveaways to bring up employee moral. They give you benefits on day 1! The break room is the best i've seen at any company, lot's of snacks and gourmet coffee machines. Lot's of upward momentum. Relaxing enviroment.

Cons

The training is some of the worst i've ever been through at a company. I can tell they mean well, but as the title suggests the execution is really lacking. It might be due to all of the 18-19 year olds who can't seem to be quiet and actually listen. It seemed like the trainer was more of a babysitter. Sitting through 8 hours a day of that training was the worst work experience i've ever had, and I worked at Mcdonalds. The pay isn't great in comparison to other jobs, but the work isn't hard, so maybe it's warranted. The Attrition is insane, I think it's due to the low pay, and the constantly changing enviroment. Alot of the managers just don't seem to understand how to manage, it seems like the management just picked it's favorite people for promotion. Also the attendance policy is one of the most penalizing systems I have ever seen, but that's what you get hiring a bunch of kids to work for you.
