Pros

You can work from home or at a site, if you work from site you get free snacks.

Cons

I started about 18 months ago and have made it to SSC3. During this time I have seen the company go from reasonable if a little bit "Kool-Aid" like to downright unreasonable and if you don't drink the Kool Aid they are probably going to kick you out. Every change in the last few months specifically has been driven to cut costs while maintaining the illusion of still helping customers. I have specifically spoken out about these changes and had level 3 management speak to me about how it is all about business needs. There have also been several less than great changes to the consultants that increase workload, decreases downtime, and in general, just pinching out every ounce we have to give. Other departments may have better times but this is the WORST time to be an SSC of any level, and I am looking for other employment.

Pros

Fun place to work. Interesting field to be in. Plenty to learn. Conveniently placed near subway/trains. Rate of pay was good. Culture is good and there are some really nice people there. They provide an enormous amount of creature comforts. NOBODY throws a party like Wayfair.

Cons

A bit of a numbers game / art mill. Work is quota based This does add a unpleasant element to the gig. I had coworkers who would always eat at their desks because they were afraid to miss quota. Burnout rate quite elevated. Desk moves occurred way too often. Everyone would relocate every 1-2 months. I moved my desk 9 times in under 2 years. The office is also open with no cubes or walls. High eavesdropping and tattling rate. You can't really speak your mind, and it's better to just keep your head down and take it if you want to stick around. Some lack of managerial experience on the middle management level. Work life balance is great if you think work IS life.

Pros

Wayfair hires in boatloads so it must not be that difficult to get in Good Benefits for the job Seems like an ideal first job, great Resume Filler Office space is pretty nice, haven't had any bad interactions with fellow employees.

Cons

Office space is very cramped and Noisy Very confusing corporate layout, very unclear on what to do to grow in the company, if you ask they will say you're in charge of your own growth, most questions asked to upper management gets non-answers like this, though thats pretty common in cooperate jobs. The job you get to do will most likely have very little to do with your actual skillset, this only compounds the further you climb in the company. As the existing higher potions seems to be excursively about management and filling out excel documents. Located in the center of Boston, does NOT pay enough for full time employees to live in the area of their operation. Either enjoy having 3+ Room mates, or enjoy spending $300 of your paycheck a month to spend 2 hours a day to get to this location. You'd wonder why a company with a strictly Online Only presence would choose to be located in the center of the hardest city to navigate to in the state, and that is a good question. The amount of which they hire (shoving about 300+ new people in the building a month) can easily make it feel like you don't matter to the company after being hired, have seen a good few people walk due to disagreements My overall advice to people within my field with this job is to take it if you need to fill out that experience category on the resume after graduating from a school, accept you probably wont see anything in your savings account, and leave after a year or finding something better.
