Weak culture and management

Business Outlook

Pros

- Given a lot of responsibility and autonomy. This a pro when expectations are clear, but can be challenging when management does not communicate clear goals or vision - Smart people with good technical skills, especially in junior levels

Cons

- The company and work can feel disorganized and priorities unclear. The constant reorgs and turnover don't help.  - Management can be weak and uninspiring, all the way up to higher levels. Poor managers are still able to move up and grow their teams if they ingratiate themselves to someone at the top. Managers can be more focused on watching out for themselves instead of supporting their team - Lack of diversity, particularly among upper management, which skews white and male. Overreliance on MBAs and former consultants The culture feels very focused on the business and suppliers, less so on employees. You don't come across many people who say they love working at Wayfair.
