Pros

Some great benefits (dental, healthcare, gym, employee discount) and a nice office. They have made an effort towards a less traditional office culture with team outings and a Friday afternoon drinks initiative.

Cons

Long working hours and below average pay, holidays are minimal and if you are sick longer than your allotted 5 days in a year then the extra time comes out of your holiday days or unpaid leave. You have to claim statutory sick pay yourself, the accounts department won't do it for you. Line managers can be based in offices in other time zones. CPD is a box ticking exercise with staff required to complete basic e-learning courses in common programs (excel etc). Getting funding for external courses is possible but couched in red tape that's impractical to navigate. Performance management systems are antiquated (bi-annual, 360 degree reviews) and individual progression doesn't happen quickly.

Pros

Time off - they offer to send you home with pay sometimes, give away PTO for stats and game prizes, can request w short notice and usually get approved. Schedules - Sundays off always. Snacks - free snacks provided and drinks too Stats - are reasonable

Cons

Time off - blackout from mid-Nov until mid-Jan. Do not expect to get time off for a family vacation Schedules - used to change every month. Now its 4 times a year but your stats don't determine where you are in shift bid. How long you worked there is the primary factor. So if Ive been here a year and my stats are #1 someone who has been here 3 years gets a better schedule. Oh and if you're not there the day they pick schedules (hand in ranking) Workforce just slots you in after everyone else's schedule is slotted - they don't tell you which day either - just sometime that week. They should call or tell you ahead of time. Snacks - many AM people will come in right after the snacks are put out and take several or all of the "better" snacks such as beef jerky. Sometimes trainees will come in and stuff their bags. Stats - count for nothing so its unmotivating and when you're stats are good your manager still tries to coach you on the minorest things. People also yell at customers w no reprecussions, mangement is unconcerned with your job satisfaction (team supervisors are better but still), Workforce decides single handedly if they'll work with you, HR is a joke, and systems malfunction ALOT. You will be on the phones regardless of your job title.
