Pros

Some of the people are great and the office snacks were a perk.

Cons

All the new reviews seem incredibly fake. They seem to be written by the same person.... Employees stay at a company "when they are paid well, appreciated, involved in decisions, promoted, challenged and mentored". At Wayfair on most teams and in your role you will not get that. You will most likely be hired for a job that you do not end up even doing. Once hired, they think you are indispensable. They will move you to a new team or into a new role, and assume you can do it and want to do it. Assume the manager that hires you will change every 3-6 months. The company has such a high turnover rate because they don't care. There is so much office politics, with some of the worst leadership. They do not encourage their employees, rather they stress them out and work them till they leave. You will be called a machine, a cog in a wheel, and encouraged to have your "lowest of lows" as one C-Level Leader said. You will be given work and not be involved in decisions or communication. If you thinking of leaving your job for Wayfair, I encourage you to reconsider. People have left after 3 weeks and one person left after 2 days. The company looks great from a distance, once you are in, you will regret it.

Pros

- Good healthy free snacks - Nice looking office - Free Beers - Met a few good coworkers and managers - A lot of free events

Cons

- Constant turnover - No loyalty or support for employees (felt very much disposable and that they could always find someone to replace me with turnover so high) - Will run you down and work you hard until the end - In review cycles I constantly heard how Wayfair is a "Churn and Burn" company and if you do not meet their extremely high expectations (which you will not be compensated for, you are terminated). - Very competitive culture and managers/ coworkers will turn on you very quickly. Even a slight error of not capitalizing text in an email can get you on a PIP - Associate Directors run their departments like fiefdoms - You can never do enough or be perfect enough for your managers. - Outside the box thinkers are not encouraged, would do well to keep your head down, get your work done ASAP, and perfectly or else you are gone
