Pros

There are no pros really.

Cons

Major Cons of Working at Wayfair 1. Constantly Changing Workflows – Processes change every 3-6 months, often making jobs more complicated, not more efficient. 2. Leadership Turnover & Instability – The people designing workflows are always changing, leading to constant restructuring and confusion. 3. No Real Career Development – Wayfair does not develop employees—it’s up to you to figure things out. The "learning" system is inconsistent and flawed. 4. Unqualified People in Key Positions – Learning ambassadors don’t always know what they’re doing, bad leaders stay in power, and qualified employees get passed over for promotions. 5. Favoritism in Promotions – White employees tend to get promoted on their first attempt, while POC often need multiple tries. 6. Low Pay Compared to the Workload – Wayfair expects high performance but does not compensate fairly. Pay is also location-based rather than based on skill or effort. 7. Unsafe & Unqualified Hires – Wayfair hires people who physically cannot perform the job, which puts the rest of the team at risk. 8. Workforce is Stretched Thin – Many warehouses run on skeleton crews, meaning workers must do more with fewer resources. 9. Terrible Truck Loading System – Associates have complained for 4-5 years about bad truck-loading practices, yet Wayfair refuses to fix it. 10. Wayfair Protects Itself, Not Employees – Whether it’s HR decisions, terminations, or policy enforcement, the company acts in its own interest, not in yours. 11. Selective Empathy & Unequal Treatment – Some employees get away with breaking rules, while others are fired for minor issues. 12. Diversity & Inclusion is Performative – Wayfair claims to be inclusive but often reinforces bias through hiring, promotions, and disciplinary actions. 13. High Damage Rates = More Waste & More Work – Despite longer workflows and higher costs, the amount of damaged product hasn’t changed. 14. Wayfair Makes Your Life Harder, Not Easier – Instead of simplifying workflows, Wayfair adds more unnecessary steps, increasing stress and frustration. 15. If You Move States, Your Pay Drops – You can do the exact same job, but if you move from California to Detroit, Wayfair will cut your pay.

Pros

The people you work with on a daily basis for the most part are great... at least until the next layoffs

Cons

They have been cutting whole departments yearly for the last few years. Laying off frontline agents all the way up to senior management in exchange to outsourcing to other countries where they can pay people half as much for the same jobs!
