1. no peer pressure as no one really being smart. 2. you get plenty of time preparing for interviews for other companies if you are in old teams/groups.

Cons

1. legacy php+html twisted code sticks around. 2. it is not a tech company, so get things seemingly done is more important.

There are tons of great people and relationships to build at Wayfair. The pay and benefits are both fair to great as well.

Cons

Job security is not so great (which should come to no surprise) and performance is not taken into account for layoffs as many many brilliant engineers I have met were impacted. How much you enjoy this job also feels very dependent on which team you land on.
