Pros

Fun environment where you get to meet new people and see your ideas coming to life. The community that you forge usually lasts for months before you get moved to another building, but the relationships are worth it. You get to be a part of creating large events from scratch worthy of your portfolio or boast of managing a “building” when you speak to other counterparts.

Cons

It’s extremely exhausting. Expect yourself to be too busy to eat, and when someone in your team is down, manage everything from events to operations to sales -even if you don’t know how. Don’t expect management to train you well before you fly, you fly before you can start crawling. This is an extremely demanding job for customer service even if they don’t tell you this, and every word you say can be used against you, regardless of whether you were stressed from the immense workload and late nights from events. Expect to come back during weekends for events on a Saturday, with time off that you may never take because the work never ends. If you intend to start a family, don’t take on this role. It is definitely not family friendly as of now. I had colleagues who basically run 24/7 and do not eat, and only those get promotions.

Pros

Great Pay Free pizza (until you get sick of it)

Cons

Absolutely no work life balance - Upper management has no respect for your personal time or responsibilities/obligations outside of work Insensitive racial jokes Male chauvinism Does not treat employees with respect Cult-like environment - if you do not "drink the koolaid" they fire you and say "you're not calibrated for success at the company"

Pros

Pipeline of projects is huge. Opportunity to move very quickly into senior roles and manage more people. Salaries slightly above industry average.

Cons

Recent quality of hires has been very low. Many inexperienced people coming from low tier companies or unrelated industries. No 401k match or retirement benefits. Stock options no longer offered to new hires.
