Pros

The quality of engineering talent was high. The majority of engineers went on to other big tech companies.

Cons

It never felt like we were working on anything serious. Most of the use cases were not real and the company's financial problems were too distracting.

Pros

Many of my colleagues were amazing and talented and uplifting

Cons

Unfortunately, despite having a great manager and colleagues it’s clear to see that Wework is not able to support most of their employees anymore. With constant organizational changes and indecisiveness, people are constantly getting let go. Through layoffs, I was told my team and my role was safe even 2 weeks before I was also inevitably let go. My biggest advice to upper management/ C suite leaders is to be honest and transparent. Do NOT give your employees blind hope that they are safe when they are not. Wework is unfortunately still going down a dark hole and I feel bad for the employees that will also be let go on a random Thursday while also being overworked.
