Pros

-I met some of my best friends here! I loved my coworkers in every part of the world I worked in or with. -They really do value DEI. Real conversations happen often to make it an even more diverse, supportive, and celebratory company. -The products, community building, and mission work. I’ve seen success time and time again and members and staff who have become like family or who support or even join each other’s companies/go into business together. -If you’re in the right departments at the right time with the right leaders, you can grow exponentially. I initially took a pay cut to join from another career and eventually earned about double the other career’s salary within a few years and multiple roles here. They also often support growth between departments.

Cons

-"Profitability at all costs” is a valid concern I’ve seen in multiple reviews; I was laid off after years of service, and unfortunately this is not uncommon. They tend to run very lean, and I’ve noticed members aren’t as factored in as they once were when it comes to financial decisions that impact their experience. -Unfortunately, part of your success might still look like a popularity contest in some places. It's less common now, but some long-standing leadership can lean toward operating in this way, and HR isn’t always an option for support if they are friends with those in leadership roles. What looked and felt like sexism and/or similarity bias did negatively impact my recent experience with some leadership, though most leaders there truly are incredible and supportive. -The company is more mature now but is still operating with a “build the plane as you fly it” mentality at times, which can be stressful, but it’s getting better at standardization.
