Pros

Best people you'll ever work with, Exhilarating culture, Great pay

Cons

Niche market, clients are always reluctant to spend on things they don't see as absolutely essential. If the market turns south, the ripple effect lasts for months.

Not what it used to be

Pros

The people. Almost everyone seems to care about one another. The members (customers) who are genuinely trying to make the world a better place.

Cons

The office politics. People get promoted, sometimes to an entirely different department, without the position ever even being posted. This means the people who play into office politics move up while more experienced and equipped people continue doing the job they're tired of. Then people quit and are surprised. Work from home has caused all culture to be lost. Work is just that: Work. No more fun activities or emphasis on community. Turnover rate is crazy and you don't know anyone on your team as they've all been hired post COVID and no effort is made to bridge the gap between new hires. Pay is below average for basically all positions. Speaking of pay, leadership will outright tell you not to tell other people how much money you're making so no one knows when they're being paid less than they deserve, which is often. The CEO makes big promises to big companies to get them on board with the products and then the Dev team tries to keep up but they can't. People are constantly mad at the product and nothing is fixed quickly enough to make people happy. Every release seems to break something new and there are things that have been broken for years that just don't get addressed. Headcount. Basically every single team is understaffed. Everyone is doing the workload of 2-3 people. People are constantly working over 40 hour weeks because Phoenix employees are salaried and there a general understanding that if something needs to be done, it's done regardless of when your shift ended. Benefits. WebPT stopped matching 401ks almost a full year ago when COVID started and have yet to start up again. Having company wide standups, one of which one was hosted when the CEO was on a long international vacation in the middle of COVID, which show your employees that the company is doing pretty well financially while simultaneously not matching 401ks does NOT show you care about employees. Hiring. I no longer recommend WebPT to friends/family. In part because I don't love the company anymore but also because the process is bad. People apply, get a phone interview and then no one ever contacts them again. It's embarrassing to have people you know ask what's going on with their apply and having to tell them the company you work force just doesn't respect them enough to let them know they aren't getting that interview they promised.

Thank you for taking the time to provide detailed feedback. WebPT is committed to strengthening the organization as we grown. Career growth within the teams is on the rise. Promotions and transfers are encouraged throughout the organization. Employee referrals account for many of our new hires. WebPT incentivizes employees to refer a candidate for a posted position. Once a candidate applies, the talent team will provide updates directly to the candidate to ensure confidentially. We appreciate your feedback. Thank you
