There is no initial training at least for the role I had. The preparation for anything was less than adequate due to poor organization. I started out and had no actual training for at least a week. After that it was all flying by the seat of my pants because I was thrown into the role with no direction. It wasn't until I did something the manager did not want done that I was told otherwise. I am a very self-sufficient person, but I need the basics to understand what is expected of me and I never received so much as that in my time there. Working here was the perfect opportunity for me to see everything I never wanted in a job. I eventually started to not care anymore and looked for a new job. When I did find another job I gave my two weeks notice and was then texted the next day halfway into the office saying not to come in. I had worked their 6 months and the commute was over an hour for me. The woman over me didn't even have the decency to call me or tell me the day before so I could retrieve my items on my way out. Instead I had to drive in a separate day to grab my belongings. I am a very patient and understanding person, but this place is not the kind of place you want to try and work up through unless you go into sales since sales is the only part of the company that is given proper attention. It's a car dealership which makes sense, but it doesn't mean your marketing side should be left to fend for themselves with no basic guidelines on what is expected.
