Pros

Flexibility - we can work from home when needed, and they are liberal with time off.

Cons

Management gives little or no support to the troops. The attitude is 'get the job done, no matter how unreasonable the expectation'. Very little job enhancement (training). Mostly OJT/own initiative. Zero career development. Again, we have to take our own initiative if we want to improve. LOB (internal customers) rule the roost, no matter how impractical or ridiculous the demand.

Pros

Good controls in place with a desire to always do better.

Cons

Hyper political envirionment where management can do no wrong and staff can do nothing right. Undertrained and vandictive supervisors that abuse the performance reporting process.
