Pros

Cons

Weed man sales associates are forced to place 300-350 outbound calls daily to sell expensive lawn care programs no one wants. The hiring process is very unprofessional, no background checks or anything. The pay is 17h for sales associates which is not enough to cover the cost of living these days. The managers are incompetent and micromanage you down to the last second. You are placed in a zoom meeting for the entirety of your shift and monitored which is degrading.

Pros

Get to work by yourself all day if you like that.

Cons

Long hours, overworked, managers don’t care about their employees wellbeing. Everyone always says “it is what it is” when you work 10-12 hour days without breaks. They say you can have a lunch break but they get mad when you take longer than 20min. They have tracking devices in the cars so they know how long you have been sitting in one spot. They will call you and call you out for sitting in one place for too long/eating lunch. You also have to use gas station washrooms whenever you have to go which ends up being a lot if you are drinking enough water to stay hydrated in the summer. You have to wear a long sleeve shirt, pants and rubber boots in the heat of summer which is brutal. The manager would also always threaten all the employees over group chat that they would be fired for trivial things. They add more work onto your schedule if you finish a route too quickly. They also deduct wages from employees earnings for accidental damages they caused on people’s property. The turnover rate is 50% and it’s not a surprise. On top of that, they scam customers. They have an auto renewal membership and keep showing up to people’s houses every summer without letting the customer know the services they signed up for are on auto renewal. You can watch it on YouTube by typing Weedman lawn scam into the search bar. I would highly advise against working for this company.
