Pros

Insurance is the only good part of the job. If you are a friend of the Granbury gang, a job will be created for you.

Cons

If you want to succeed, you must live in Hood County and play at the same golf club. Without that you might get let go. Company has no employee relations. HR does nothing to resolve any issues raised by the employees. The President of the company cares very little about the employees.

Okay place to work

Pros

Decent pay, good healthcare and retirement plans. People you work with are good people, just may not be very effective job-wise.

Cons

Overworked, no appreciation, very little communication about what is going on until something is being implemented already.

Too Many Growing Pains

Business Outlook

Pros

Chaotic environment with constant ups and downs (lay off, ramping up, then more lay offs). If you can deal with the uncertainty and constant changes you might do well.

Cons

Very political environment - you MUST build your relationships with all key players. RIF decisions seem to be made based on personal bias rather than skill set, experience, or value-added projects.
