Pros

Most of the people are nice and easy to get on with.

Cons

I was hired as a bakery sales associate part time. But now I'm a donut maker and also a cake decorator, I wasn't given a pay rise for it.The pay is crap $7.25. When I applied for the job it was advertised as having all these good benefits but that only applies to full time employees which is basically impossible. Since I started working there 1 full time employee retired and another is about to leave but they won't bump you up to a full time so they don't have to give you benefits. As part time you need to be working there for 2 years before you are entitled to 1 weeks paid vacation. The hours are unreliable, I have had weeks where I was scheduled 8 hours to a week scheduled 34 hours. I get on with my manager for the most part but the other employees don't so there can be a lot of tension which makes it a little awkward at times. They have a habit of changing schedules after they have been posted without checking with you first of it was ok that they changed it, you may have made plans or had an appointment.

Pros

I like my Co workers.

Cons

Been asking for full time for over a year. Have not had a raise in over a year. Work load increases, hours do not. I work in a perishables department and management continually wants more production to increase sales and profit. We work like dogs and yet no benefit to the employee. Instead they cut hours so they aren't paying out. We suffer for their profit. Corporate and management do not care about the workers. Scheduling is terrible. Employees don't know their schedules till the day before the new work week begins. People cannot schedule appointments or live their lives like that. I only have 2 days in a row off every couple of months. You can bet corporate and management don't live their lives like that.
