      Herd Mentality Leads to Meaningless Group-Think

      Pros

      The only good thing about Wellington is the comp. It's better than average for the industry and city. But it doesn't make up for the toxic work environment.

      Cons

      Independent thinking is only permitted within "safe" bounds. Most of the cult members care only about the views of their bosses, and don't dare risk challenging "the culture."

      Pros

      Company is well run Great reputation in the industry and good financials Good benefits and good comp, especially great if you make it to be an associate or partner

      Cons

      On the IT side - long hours, often with weekend work Possibilities for promotion are limited - preference is for hiring from outside when positions open up The culture of "seek a wider audience" requires many meetings, limiting people's ability to do "real work"

      It is one of the premier financial services firms and as such there is a lot of opportunities to learn more and build a successful career. Excellent group of people

      Changes in benefits Increased sense of fear and CYA attitude which makes it fairly difficult to get things acomplished.
