Pros

good benefits and good locations to work at, if in California.

Cons

pay structure..dont get paid for what your worth..rather than how much management wants to pull the wool over your eyes. Management structuring is horrible, people who are not qualified to manage or lead ever are somehow promoted to high level status. Branches are run like sweat shops and banker/cssr's/tellers are required to do everything but sell there soul on a daily basis. The requirements to work there are that you sell people things they dont need and shouldnt have, car salesman have a bad rap. But when its in perspective Bankers at Wells are told to be a million more times pushier than the local used car salesman. Could be a great company to work for then again isnt that the same for all of them...!

Pros

Made some great business contacts. Fun happy hours.

Cons

Putting customers in bad loans; 10% 1st mortgages, in addition to thousands of dollars in points and other fees. 27% refi on car loans (when their original rate was 9%) extending their loan back out to 60 months(when they had 40 months left) in exchange for $750, truly criminal....

Pros

Wells Fargo is a very enclusive work evironment. They will pay up to $5000 per year for higher education as long as it is toward a Business degree or Business advancement. Wells Fargo matches in their 401K of 6% up to 100% of your salary; and gives 20 Paid Time Off when you first get hired.

Cons

Wells Fargo is a very sales oriented environment. I dont recommend this company if anyone is timid of asking lots of financial questions to people. They are considered a "widget" based company to where they want everyone to have checking, savings, debit card, credit card, rewards, online banking, mortgage, investment accts......after a while, the "widget" driven environment gets old. Their bonus structure is capped, so if an employee has a great quarter in sales and does 200% above goal, then the max payout is $5500.....which is not alot in the "sales" world.
