Pros

Depends entirely on the office you work for. Salaries and benefits OK for a financial institution.

Cons

It's a bank. It is highly bureaucratic and doesn't attract very good people. Retirement in place. Lot's of people "come up thru the ranks" and are virtually unemployable anywhere else but another bank. Many management types have no outside experience and many have no degree.

Pros

The best reasons to work for Wells Fargo Home Mortgage as an inbound customer service representative include: flexible scheduling, great benefits, great hours including weekends off or some Saturday morning work, a team-oriented environment.

Cons

Working in a call-center environment is certainly not just for anyone; it is very demanding and can be quite stressful. Employees are expected to perform at standards that are barely attainable, and the company tends to value sales over service. Some employees seemed to move up too quickly because of networking and personal connections while others were left at lower level positions for years. The turnover rate was enormous, and there were always new faces in the office. Certain employees seem exempt from performance expectations based on personal connections within the office.
