      Employees routinely pushed to breaking point

      Pros

      Free fruit and pastries are provided once a week while free pizza and sushi lunches are provided once a month. There are great people working here and the Sports & Social Club plan a lot of great activities.

      Cons

      Management quietly encourage employees to do overtime on a regular basis. The managements attitude is 'just get it done' which means 'we are not directly asking you to do over time but there will be consequences if the impossible deadline is not met'. The company idea of holiday cover is that employee number 2 will have to do two jobs while employee number 1 is away on leave.

      Pros

      The dress code is very casual, if you like that. Some very nice and smart people, although none are to be found in the management team

      Cons

      The worst Dickensian sweatshop environment I've ever seen. Dishonest management, constant broken promises, poor infrastructure and support, penny pinching to the extreme. Owned by private equity squeezing every last fraction of a dollar out of the employees.

      Pros

      I was a member of the patent translation team of its China office. I had a chance to work on patent documents coming from some world-leading companies. Some of the colleagues are kind.

      Cons

      The work environment is not good. Disharmony exists in the team. If you think you are incompetent, do not worry if you can get along well with the woman in charge, who's very stupid and a liar. Don't expect too much from your reporting poor quality of a vendor's work.
