As good as the rest, but, still needs improvement.

Pros

Pay is fair. I started .33-.36 cpm. Some driver trainers are ok. Others don't care. Plenty of freedom. Nobody breathing down your neck.

Cons

Had constant issues with the truck/s. Getting home is pretty much impossible. Technicians need more experience. Staff members have attitudes.

Pros

The best reason to work at Werner would be the amount of dedicated opportunities avaliable. I would have to say another reason would be that the company is debt free, and your paycheck will always be there.

Cons

The challenges of working at Werner would have to be the empty trailer hunting. Dispatch can never seem to correctly locate empty trailers, therefore the driver loses time and money searching for an empty.

They will take just about anyone and give them a chance out of trucking school. That's about all that this company has going for them.

Cons

They say "Werner Cares." Yea, about their office staff in Omaha, it sure isn't their drivers. There was one week I lived off of two cans of Spam I had portioned out and bottled water I had in my truck, because I couldn't make enough there to survive. Awful pay, no miles, ignorant night/weekend dispatch. Run, don't walk away from this joke of a company.
