Pros

Front line managers and employees are hardworking and contribute much to the communities they serve.

Cons

Young professional bankers should stay away from this organization. The culture is poisoned by years of management through intimidation, deceit and self-serving egos. Management does little to celebrate success, and in fighting among senior management is the norm.

Pros

The branch that I work at is a wonderful environment. You are pushed (in a good way) to be better, benefits are affordable and you are compensated well for travel. Training is excellent and thorough.

Cons

Low salary base, miscommunication between corporate and branch management leads to problems, way understaffed in back office. One time took me 2 days to get ahold of someone in loan operations to answer a customers question.

Pros

Smaller bank, therefore customers are known by name not just an acct number. Great benefits, even offered to part time employees.

Cons

Turn over is common in banking but this place seems to always be short staffed. I think it's because their pay scale is on the low side.
