Pros
its a job in your field
Cons
1. pay is terrible 2. raises are sad, expect 10-20 cent raises a year 3. Long hours (require OT often) 4. No parking, you park at a lot 5 miles away and take a bus to the campus 5. You'll be doing a lot of other peoples jobs 6. every quarter you are forced to do a big ceremony graduation. You are forced to play a giant PowerPoint and music for 2 hours. This is done all by yourself. 7. Lack of accountability. If servers go down, you get looked at like its your fault and must play middle man because management is to scared to talk to the Deans at your campus. 8. Forced to do VR classes with students. That is 1 hour classes 7 times a week. You have to participate with the whole class. 9. You are doing software support which is not in the job description. Dental Hygiene staff went to school for this program yet they will call you all day forcing you to support them. And if you do not know the answer you have to call the company each time playing the middle man again. 10. Company is a revolving door. You will see people come and go. High turnover rate. 11. Management will treat you like a child and never listen to your concerns. 12. This company only cares about money not the students and staff. 13. No advancement within company. You can apply but the manager will ignore you and hire outside the company. (hires his buddies). 14. You will not be granted access to most programs to do your job. If you need something done you have to contact your boss and he will try to do it for you in the same day... 15. Expect to work some weekends, because its up to you to do network/equipment upgrades even though its above your pay grade. 16. Know one respects you and staff do not put in tickets so expect a ton of phone calls a day. 17. Having a degree does not mean nothing here. You are hired as a tech and will remain a tech.
