      Pros

      Westrock, now called Smurfit Westrock has many locations throughout the USA, Canada and Mexico. There are three divisions; Mills, Consumer Packaging and Corrugated. I work in the Corrugated division in a box plant. The site is around 120 total people. The site leadership wants to be successful and see a path forward on how to be successful, but there are limitations from budget and supply and demand. Pros - Good pay for the area where I live for the role. They take safety as a top value in making sure everyone goes home the same way they came into work.

      Cons

      Budget, Demand and Supply can either make or break a business, and the site went through a rough patch recently and it was difficult to overcome those obstacles. If people are not willing to step up and make changes, then it puts pressure on those that are willing and able to make changes and they get burn out and leave or have health issues causing them to be gone for excessive amounts of time. Communcation at the production level can be improved, and upper management are making improvements, but it takes time.
