Pros

My overall experience working for WE wasn't too bad. I like the guaranteed minimum for NE Regional driver of $800 ( before taxes of course) for 5 loads or 1800 miles and .50 for 1801+ miles. My paychecks usually were around $1k-$1200 weekly. Just stand your ground so they do not take advantage of you. But it's a great place to start for new drivers or for drivers with a less than pleasing criminal past. My truck was nice.

Cons

Beware of the night time and weekend dispatch. They ask for you to use the QC as a main point of communication but it's kind of impossible to do that once your DM leaves because night dispatch stay on their best bs. So you might as well just go to you closest fuel solution and expect a call from your DM the next day but they pretty much know that the night dispatch is like a daycare for adults.

Pros

I ran Flatbed NE Regional dedicated account. I was given a New 2016 Freightliner with a flat screen TV and directTV. I was home every Friday like I was told I would be. I left usually at 4Am on Monday. I never had to wait longer than an hr for a load.the pay wasn't bad at all.

Cons

Let's start with orientation in Nashville. WTF?? Organized chaos at best!! That hotel was Nasty!! They bring in way to many drivers at one time. The flatbed training is a JOKE! If you don't tell the instructor to shut up about his stories you won't learn a thing. He will stop teaching to BS with any driver that comes in and here we go, more stories! When you get your Driver manager you gotta let them know how you run. I run hard and expect to keep moving. Be clear about what you expect. I did short runs to help my DM only because she kept me moving. I'm not gonna bash the company as a whole because the upper management generally cares and will do whatever to make you happy. It's middle management that destroys the company.

Pros

There are no good reasons to work for this company.

Cons

Never home on time when you request it in advance, they don't notify your home state of medical card updates, they rob you of milage & pay, substandard equipment, they don't back you up legally when needed, the driver managers ignore you when you need them. They stereotype certain individuals based on looks & hair length & they are a racist company.
