Pros

Great culture of integrity, diversity and respect for others. Absolutely amazing safety focus and this company means it. Increasingly focused on high performance and winning at everything it does.

Cons

The near constant sell off of business units and corporate downsizing within Weyerhaeuser over the last 10 years has left an indelible mark. The challenge for Weyerhaeuser is to remake itself into a growth company and a destination that more prospective employees will seek out. The company faces stiff challenges to achieve this due to its REIT corporate structure which places limits on re-investment in non-REIT business units where most of the people work e.g. manufacturing.

Small Office part of a large company. Work-life balance is good. Software work is interesting - the engineering that goes into houses.

Cons

Tied to the housing industry. Half the staff got laid off at once. No room for personal growth, promotions. Culture is not as good as it used to be...
