Great environment, nice office with 30 year old water fountains. Benefits are still decent (while having it). company matching our 401k

constantly making empty promises. extremely unfair to minorities. full of office politics. lack of communication and commitment. extremely poor morale in every division

Weyerhaeuser pays well. In small parts of the company, there is freedom to build a culture of mutual respect, empowered teams and personal development.

Cons

There are only a few small parts of the company where you can affect the culture - the rest blows by you with their "100 year old company - good ole boys club" mentality and curbs enthusiasm for change that is desperately needed. The company seems to make poor decisions about what to keep and what to sell/divest. They sell businesses that make them money and keep the ones that are dragging them down. Communication is sub-par. Employees hear about what's happening at the same time the public hears about it.
