Pros

Generally the fellow employees are really friendly, fun and caring. Depending on your area you get some jerks and slackers - but that's people for you. As a Team Member (starter position) it's really not that bad. As long as you have a good attitude, a will to work and listen to your superiors you'll do great! Some days are rougher than others, and it's not all as predictable and easy as everyone thinks fast food is - but it's pretty simple work.

Cons

When staff is short, so is the management's temper. When you have 4 managers trying to share shifts and all are pressured NOT to hit overtime EVER or else.... it's stressful. Some of that flows down to the lesser employees. There's a lot of chatter and rumors amongst the Team Members it seems, and the management usually gets the butt end - and that causes a lot of problems for everyone. If you want to move up, make sure you are somewhere with a good staff otherwise you'll get screwed into rough shifts, never being able to take time off for family or vacation. Heck! I had a doctor's note once, couldn't talk and STILL my boss told me I HAD to manage the overnights. Really?! Well, being me I did it. We worked a couple extras to make up for my not being able to speak and hardly having the energy to work.

Cons

GENERAL MANAGERS ARE ALLOWED TO THREATEN AND HARASS YOU,THEY MAKE FUN OF YOU AND TELL JOKES WHEN YOUR HAIR IS FALLING OUT AS YOU ARE GOING THROUGH CHEMO,THEY FORCE YOU TO WEAR SILLY PAPER HATS WHEN YOU FORGET YOUR HAT EVEN WHEN THERE ARE OTHER HATS AVAILABLE IN THE OFFICE,YOU CANNOT REPORT IT TO AREA MANAGER OR MAKE A COMPLAINT BECAUSE THE AREA MANAGER WILL ONLY HAVE A MEETING WITH YOU IN FRONT OF YOUR G.M,and you have to go along with whatever harass ment you are handed because of fear of losing your job, they do not care if you are ill and schedule you so you cannot see you doctor because they set your schedule at 6am to 4 pm,then threaten to fire or demote you if you do not conform and accept their hostile way of working, then they refuse to put in your hours to get paid when they purposely send you away when H.R or any regional managers come to the store, they are allowed to do whatever they want and leave the store for hours with the excuse of marketing. They exude a hostile work envirormenrt and strongarm you into conformity for fear of job loss, and their area managers let them get away with it,when you request a transfer you have to say it is because of location instead of the truth which is to get away from the monster who is the manager.
