Pros

Company mission and culture is intended to show passionate gratitude for the “family members”. A lot of what they do mirrors that. Bonuses for hourly employees and they stay on top of hourly anniversaries etc. they pay operating partners a lot of money and managers do very well in the busier stores as well. Repairs are fixed quickly and the contact center is awesome.

Cons

The area leaders for the most part are horrible. They bully. They make Operators feel guilty for taking time off. Call them when they are on vacation asking for ridiculous things that can wait. Make them go to meetings during vacation. They Act annoyed when you are sick and always assume everyone is stealing or being shady because they have no idea how to connect with people. They have never recognized birthdays or anniversaries for me or my managers. Never followed thru on contest prizes. They encourage their units to cheat guest satisfaction scores and family member surveys which make it impossible for honest operators to excel because the company average is skewed. Wouldn’t matter much except bonuses are based largely on these things. Way too many meetings and conference calls as well as asking you to work over 55 hours a week. Most of the time they want you to work 10-8 but schedule conference calls early in the mornings so your day actually starts at 7am. Over the years I’ve watched countless operators get divorced, have heart attacks, and even quit taking huge pay cuts just to save themselves from losing it all. Schedule of Operator is micromanaged but the time off is never respected. You are on video constantly and scrutinized by many different departments that watch them and audit. Food safety, risk management, directors, area leaders, VPs and many more monitor the videos and send feedback after taking snippets of video footage and basing large generalizations about how you run your operation. Wondering why on earth i still work here? Me too. All i can say is the money keeps you tethered off you want the best financial life for your family, the major con - you will never be around to enjoy that for yourself.
