Pros

I spent over a decade at LeasePlan USA, one of the two companies that recently merged into Wheels. Like any organization, it had its imperfections, but overall, both employees and clients were genuinely satisfied. There was a strong sense of community, clear structure, and competitive compensation—all of which contributed to consistent, year-over-year growth. However, that dynamic shifted significantly following the merger and integration into Wheels.

Cons

Where do I begin? The organization has fallen into complete disarray, particularly over the past year since the migration process began. High-performing employees and clients are leaving in droves, largely due to poor planning and a glaring lack of coordination throughout the transition. Internal systems are severely outdated—reminiscent of something from the Windows 95 era—and customers from the merged companies are now forced to use platforms that lack many of the capabilities they previously relied on. This has led to a significant drop in client satisfaction and trust. The company is also facing ongoing litigation from customers, tied to breaches of service agreements and statements of work. Employee morale is at an all-time low. To make matters worse, many employees, including myself, were forced into unfair non-compete agreements that effectively blacklisted us from opportunities in similar industries, industries we've spent a majority of our professional careers in. Legal teams have even gone as far as threatening competitors with lawsuits for hiring former staff—despite the fact that these departures were driven entirely by internal failures. Leadership is largely ineffective, with departments operating in silos and little to no cross-functional alignment—the left hand truly doesn’t know what the right hand is doing. I wouldn’t recommend this company to anyone, not even my worst enemy. It breaks my heart to have left behind so many talented former colleagues who now feel trapped in a company that seems to value profits far more than its people.

Cons

Sooo many but it really depends on who you are. I cannot believe the amount of four and five star reviews but then again, these might be the favorites and Wheels certainly plays favorites. Example, you can be efficient, hardworking, do ot and they will promote people that smile in their face, make tons of mistakes or just do things in a really inefficient way...they just have to like you enough, you don't have to be qualified. The positions they give to certain people such as trainer don't mean much..they will pretty much try to force you to train(numerous times and numerous people) while knowing your workload is full, denying you a raise and letting the "trainer" just hold the title). If you don't speak up for yourself, they will walk all over you and if you DARE point out what you do and why their crappy pay and treatment isn't enough, you will be accused of complaining too much. Wheels management and supervisory teams prefer people that just shut up and do it, no complaints and it doesn't matter how much you already do, they will continue to pile work on select team members(usually the more efficient team members) the others will just get to keep doing whatever they do while you're forced to do your job, theirs and others (be wary of any company that includes "other duties as assigned" in the job description). They will also give you a supervisor who has no idea what you do and will try to micromanage you anyway. They also like to give credit for what you do to others..you could have worked your butt off and then they will throw someone else on a task (when the task is nearly completed) then make it seem like it was the team even though you were the one who did majority of the heavy lifting. Honestly, Wheels was a good company when I started, but after about three years it was all downhill..I'm not sure what changed. Another big issue is Wheels technology, they refuse to invest in updated technology, they prefer to keep putting band-aids on things so that they work temporarily, never mind that it is frustrating for employees to have SLAs/clients but no proper equipment to work with on a regular basis. Getting something fixed takes ages if it gets fixed at all because they sometimes hire incompetent people and even the competent ones can only do so much if Wheels doesn't invest. They waist a lot of time you could be spending getting the work done on unnecessary daily meetings, a quick daily meeting would be ok but if certain team members don't need a daily meeting or if meetings are going on and on..how much time is being wasted that could have went to getting things done? I can say A LOT more about what I was personally put through which ultimately led to me leaving sooner (I was already going to leave) but let's just say, my life was not valued at all, people that were working onsite were testing positive for Covid left and right and while majority of the company was working from home, I was forced to come back basically because the so called supervisor (think Umbridge from Harry Potter..not exaggerating) didn't like the idea of me working from home and it most certainly had nothing to do with my work, so this person needlessly put my health at risk . I tried to say as much as I possibly could..I actually gave the short version, lol..but I want people to be aware. If you work at Wheels, I advise not to stay too long...take the job as a temp or take it for a couple of years to build your resume.
