Pros

The compensation is great if your a Canada based employee due to the conversion rate. There is an annual dividend that is paid out as a bonus that is generous. Job security Applying for different roles within the company is easy and encouraged. They invest in their current employees. Full time remote opportunities are available. 3 weeks paid vacation time at start of employment (3 months probation). Vacation days also increases based on tenure . 6 days paid sick days /personal time Holidays are also paid. Working on a holiday is possible based on business needs. Townhall company meetings are encouraging and positive , employees are valued . The CEO is a genuine person and really seems to care a lot about the company and its employees.

Cons

Depending on your role . Work can be tedious, repetitive and soul sucking. Due to 3 companies merging there is a lot of uncertainty. Culture is less familial like and more corporate oriented. This was not the case when it was privately run . Some effort is needed to remind HR how labor standards work in Canada . Some of the technology used is outdated albeit functional.
