Pros

Flexible Work Schedule. Management is interested in helping you grow in your career path. Lots of autonomy in project work. Great work environment with casual dress code.

Cons

Salaries are below industry average. Management is often unhelpful in providing guidance on projects outside of job description. Resource Management is challenging because of no HR department

Pros

The company offers a diverse range of project opportunities. Following the acquisition of LookThink, the company now operates on multiple CMS platforms and serves a variety of customer segments, providing ample opportunity for varied project experiences.

Cons

Leadership lacks a connection with daily operations and provides inadequate support. When challenges arise, they fail to offer timely assistance and their only response is to ask the team for solutions, instead of offering concrete solutions themselves. The leadership group operates like a clique and lacks accountability. Any project failures are solely attributed to the project team, while the leadership team absolves themselves of responsibility. The company lacks recognition for individual contributors. Despite the introduction of Bonusly for company-wide recognition, there is no tangible bonus system in place. Leadership offers token gestures, such as working lunches or office upgrades, rather than a merit-based bonus system. Lack of clear advancement paths for employees. Compensation is not tied to role or experience, and excuses are frequently made for failing to offer promotions.

Pros

Whereoware has a diverse client base, giving team members the opportunity to work on very different types of accounts and industries. The work is challenging and fast-paced. Peers are smart, innovative, and collaborative. They've recently invested in more senior positions, bringing in very experienced talent to lead the different teams and provide better team management. As a working mother with small children, I could not be more complimentary of how Whereoware handled the COVID-driven shift to full-time work from home. When kids appear in the back of Zoom videos, no one bats an eye. I've never felt uncomfortable taking time off or flexing my schedule to support child-related needs. Work is expected to get completed and communication lines remain open, but Whereoware truly embodies great work/life balance.

Cons

Clients can be challenging, and the level of technical complexity of many projects means team members must be very precise, organized, and executing at the highest quality level. For some, this can be stressful, but many of us flourish in the fast-paced environment.
