Pros

Great people. Get to WFH once a week. Free snacks. Fun events. You will learn a lot if it's your first job and have the ability to work on multiple projects.

Cons

Micromanaging manager - terrible management. Timesheets down to 15 minutes increments. Not very agile. High turnover creates constant stress for the team.

Pros

Salary is market rate for this area, the work can be empowering and challenging. Loads of opportunity to work on different types of projects. Casual dress code.

Cons

Timesheets. High turnover, because of (amongst dysfunctional management) timesheets. If you have the patience to be able to fill out timesheets daily and hourly, even if you're a salaried employee then this is the place for you. The amount of pressure on employees to be more billable presents a dreadful situation. Sorry, but there are much better options in the DC Metro area for this kind of work. The industry is changing rapidly, Whereoware is missing the big picture by micromanaging employees into a revolving door of burnouts.

Pros

Dive straight into real work with very little hand holding Opportunities to grow if you’re a self starter Awesome coworkers Monthly social events CEO is personable and friendly

Cons

Non-competitive salary Too little too late when it comes to employee retention Very little training (and funding/energy spent on employee improvement) Prioritizing short term profit over long term growth when it comes to strategy and execution Strict focus on gift and home industry holds back many creative and innovative ideas Unorganized company structure Company drama + politics trickles down from management to the rest of the company easily
