Bad company culture

Pros

It's pretty close to home

Cons

If you have other options, pick the other option! I am serious. This is just about the worst company I have worked for. Employees are expected to deliver perfection in an unrealistic amount of time. You're given slow computers yet you're expected to work fast. Hard work is unappreciated, it's about delivering perfection in a short amount of time or else. Co-workers seem nice at first, but soon you'll realize that everybody's constantly covering their own behinds and pointing the finger at somebody else.

I'm sorry to hear that this has been your experience. Company culture and quality of work environment is very important to us as a company and to me personally. We are actively working to make improvements in these areas and and are planning for a better physical space and more engaging environment in our new office location. I am always open to having a private conversation about ways to make Whereoware a better place to work.- Eric Dean/ CEO

The worst place

Pros

Easy to get in I guess

Cons

Very poor management. Most of the higher management people are in their position because they just have been there. Don’t know what they are doing, no real world experience. Very old legacy code base. You will need to unlearn many things to work here. Some of the management people are straight out offensive and mean. Developers are working on 6 or 7 projects at a time. Recently had a lay off, amazed to see that none of the people from the project that was lost were laid off. Goes to show how they have managed to maintain the higher management for so long with same people. Everyone is on the chopping block.

Beware. Avoid. About-Face.

Pros

Full-time remote (if that's your thing)

Cons

Poor leadership, mismanagement of resources and project budgets, dishonest ploys for new hires, micro-management of professionals (when they don't even understand the issue, no less), terrible on-boarding, and the CEO will pressure employees for positive reviews. Don't believe all of the 5 star reviews as they are B.S. Not good.
