Pros

Work from home was nice

Cons

Performance metrics do not accurately portray outcome metrics. They set metrics that seem achievable at the beginning of your career but as you go on, you begin to understand that these metrics have little to do with the actual outcome that they care about.

Great Mission, Growing Team

Pros

The work that we do is tied to a very specific mission that I think anyone can get behind - using technology for good (to help prevent electrical fires). The teams are all dedicated and hardworking. One of the best groups I’ve worked with ever, with a big focus on collaboration and problem solving. Lots of opportunity to grow and learn in this startup environment, which is one of the many reasons I love being here! Excellent benefits and compensation. Executive management is transparent and focused. Never feel like just a number here.

Cons

In growth mode, so there are a LOT of items that we work on at a given time (wearing many hats). This also means we are constantly improving processes and technology we use — which honestly isn’t a problem in my eyes, but I could see how for some individuals that constant flux could be uncomfortable if you’re not aware or accustomed to it.

Pros

Remote work, good lay and bennies, generally good employees to work with. Im happy here. If you can think logically, make phone calls, its not a hard job and is rewarding.

Cons

The fire Safety team is struggling to keep up with the overall growth of the company, so workload is increasing. This means higher expectations and work is increasing faster than labor. Upper management can struggle to see the day to day of the employees and has occasionally unreasonable expectations, but I've seen improvement over the year+ I've been here.
