Business Outlook
Pros
The entrepreneurial spirit drives Whiting-Turner. The company is not broken into departments like a typical GC. With no precon/estimating/accounting/closeout department the PM is immersed in every part of the process. The training is sufficient, but if you'll be expected to take a project from conception to close out.
Cons
You have to fit the culture. Being able to make a decision and learn from mistakes is a hallmark trait of the best Whiting-Turner PMs. You're going to be throw in the deep end.
