Pros

The family is kind. If you're willing to work hard, you'll get exposure to much more than your were hired for. Their starting pay for farm workers is higher than typical.

Cons

Pay for higher level positions and commissions are lacking. Compensation does not match the workload. Poor internal organization and frequent turnover plague several departments.

I loved working for Wilcox Family Farms. I was hired to help out in the human resources office and it felt like a family away from a family.

Cons

It is a chicken farm so sometimes the smell of the chickens gets up there.

Some of the other employees are great to work with.

Cons

The owners care more about themselves than their employees!! Unapproachable and do not like to hear suggestions that go against what the feel. They believe they are above everyone else but fail to understand that their employed are the reason they even exist now! All of them could take a swift lesson in employee management! Turn over rate is extremely high.
