Pros

Lots of good people, with a friendly atmosphere. Middle management was knowledgeable and friendly.

Cons

Leadership says one thing and wants another thing done. Too focused on trying to find a quick win, no matter how cheap, that long term improvements to the product get sidelined. So focused on marketing that time isn't given to make the base product more attractive to get people actually using it outside of accidental clicks on their brand new laptop. Development was regularly stopped and priorities switched in the middle of feature development.

Pros

Small enough so that individuals stand out, yet large enough to be financially stable and have the basics like an HR department, IT department, etc. Fairly fast-paced environment lead by charismatic and outspoken CEO. Very open environment where you can speak your mind, contribute, and make impact.

Cons

The downside of being medium sized is that there isn't a lot of redundancy in resources. Gotta get more done with less so it can feel like you're always playing catch-up. It's never boring though.
