Pros

The people you will work with are smart and well spoken. It's a really pleasant work environment overall. The headquarters are in a great location. It is the type of job you can get comfortable in; probably ideal for someone later in their career.

Cons

If you start in an entry level position it is very hard to move up. Your job satisfaction will come mainly from the people your work with rather than your actual job functions; so hopefully you are placed on a good team. The position can be very monotonous and dry. There is no training period...it's learn as you go. Basically everyone has their own way of doing something, causing lots more mistakes and delays for things that should be simple. More set in stone standards to to be put in place. The salary is also very low, and the raise is small as well. Given the cost of living in NY it makes it hard to enjoy all the city has to offer on that salary.

Pros

Great benefits and work/life balance in the years I have been there. Lots of great, dedicated people in Indianapolis.

Cons

Any review prior to 2013 is soon to be irrelevant. Big changes are happening that appear, from the ground, to not be well thought through.

Pros

1. Some talented and dedicated colleagues. 2. Good location. 3. Good health benefits.

Cons

1. There are also some people at Wiley who are ill-suited for their positions 2. HR staff members are not well-versed in benefit information and can rarely provide useful information. 3. Salaries for non-publishing positions are not competitive and there is little-to-no room for advancement. 4. Corporate policies and procedures are overly-complicated and rarely fully implemented.
