Pros

Incredibly smart, talented, and nice colleagues. Opportunity to advance scientific understanding and knowledge through scholarly publishing. Some flexibility in work schedule. Generous PTO.

Cons

Recently adopted assembly line approach means less opportunity for variety and learning new skills, and high volumes of more repetitive tasks. Doing more with fewer workers means longer hours for many.

Pros

You have the opportunity to work with some of the smartest, most talented and all-around decent, caring people in scholarly research publishing, globally. You get to work for a company whose mission is to advance knowledge, learning and discovery. Career paths to grow. Benefits package is good.

Cons

With the change from print to digital publishing and the move toward Open Access over the past decade or more Wiley has had to restructure to adapt. With that comes some uncertainty and anxiety.
